Friday Five {life updates}

1. Whole30 - 19 days strong! I'm really, really enjoying this. Yesterday morning was the first time I poured my coffee and thought that I REALLY wanted some Stevia in it. I actually love black coffee, but sometimes I enjoy a little Stevia in my coffee every now and then. I've lost about 6ish pounds, and I just feel awesome!

2. Races - Half Marathon training starts Monday! I'm running the Charlottesville Half in April, but my goal race is the Ocean City, MD Half in May. I'm going for a new PR there! I'll be following a brand new training plan that is pretty different from those I've followed in the past. It's the "Half-Marathon Own It" plan from the book Train Like a Mother. I'm excited to try something new!

3. Speaking of races...I am DYING to sign up for the Rock 'n' Roll DC race in March. I've done it the past 2 years and I just really love that race. I can't decide if I actually want to pull the trigger or not though. I would just run it as a training run, no time goal in mind.

4. And so are the days of our lives...I broke up with the BF a few weeks ago. No drama - no tears. We are just in 2 different places in our lives and it wasn't working anymore. We will still be friends, and there's no hard feelings!

5. God has been seriously blowing my mind the past 2 weeks with His amazing timing. I'm not going to say much more about it right now, but you know me -- I'll overshare eventually. For now, I'll just say that life right now could be described best by the verse in Ephesians that says "to Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly beyond all that we could ask or even imagine, to Him be the glory" (that's the Jess translation of the Bible, in case you're wondering)  Life is just really, really good.
